With this update, we are beginning to post some of the videos that we are shooting in Haiti. These two videos hopefully will help you see a glimpse of what is going on in Haiti. I'm definitely not a photographer, but if a picture is worth a thousand words...then this is worth the effort.
Blessings.
Video #1: Across the street from the Hotel Montana.
Many of you will remember the hotel Montana when it was in the news. There was a large loss of expatriate lives in this hotel. This video was taken across the street from that hotel. It shows a little of the endless number of destroyed homes. Literally hundreds of thousands of Haitians have lost then homes...and no one seems to know how to go about replacing them.
Video #2: New Tent City.
There is nothing "special" about this tent city (that we were driving by on our way up the coast of Haiti, north of Port-au-Prince). Except for one thing: it didn't exist last week. These new tent cities continue to spring up in many areas across the country. Where are the people coming from? The best estimates seem to indicate that well over one million Haitians are living in these tent cities at the present time.
